- Technical Skills: Receive and utilize training for the operation of computer software and hardware tools of the job, including process control hardware/software, process analytical software, and other relevant tools.
- Material Handling: Package and load materials using heavy equipment, including forklifts.
- Authorization: Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Education: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Driver's License: Must possess a current, valid driver's license.
- Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Experience: Must have a minimum of three (3) years of current experience as a Process/Production Operator or Material Handler in a catalyst, petrochemical, refining, general chemical, or other manufacturing related work environment OR have an Associate of Applied Science degree in Process Technology.
- Physical Demands: Willing to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodation, work in compact and confined spaces with or without accommodation, climb ladders, walk up and down steps, and work at heights with or without accommodation.
- Availability: Must be able to respond in a timely manner to site work schedule needs, willing to work a rotating shift work schedule, willing to work overtime, holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Background Checks: As a part of the pre-employment selection process, candidates are required to submit to and receive satisfactory results from all pre-employment background, medical, reference and drug checks, including hair and oral fluids drug testing.
- Company Policies: Willing to support the company's drug-free work environment, harassment-free work environment policy, safety policies and initiatives, diversity and inclusion work environment policies.
As a Process Operator at Shell, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision coverage, life insurance, business travel accident insurance, and occupational accidental death benefit programs. You will also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave to birthing mothers, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
Additionally, employees are eligible for disability leave for up to 52 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay. Shell also offers other compensation such as financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives.
