Program Manager in Biology and Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to support an awarded National Science Foundation ITEST grant centered on broadening and extending a transdisciplinary model to educate students and to train in-service teachers in transdisciplinary concepts that bridge biology and engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, design, develop, modify, and present programs to support the grant objectives.
- Implement policies and procedures to ensure effective program delivery.
- Maintain budget, prepare contracts, approve and monitor expenditures, and prepare budget requests and financial reports.
- Act as liaison to internal departments, external entities, and community organizations to facilitate program success.
- Prepare and edit reports, newsletters, and publication materials to communicate program outcomes and achievements.
- Provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff, including hiring, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, and approving time off.
- Complete academic and administrative duties, such as coordinating activities with high schools and other stakeholders, supporting scheduling and organization of programmatic activities, supporting student hiring and payments, and conducting other project-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in education, engineering-related, or biology-related fields.
- Seven years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in biology, engineering, and/or STEM education.
