Enterprise Operations Center Specialist

Job Summary

This position is located in Washington, DC at the Department of Transportation (DOT) Headquarters' Building. The Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including all Federal Holidays. The EOC utilizes monitoring tools and follows standard incident management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to events and messages from automated tools and outside groups, and provide proactive and scheduled console monitoring of infrastructure and systems in near real time.
  • Take corrective action as defined, and escalate incidents to DOT Tier III teams and outside vendors as necessary.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including generating correspondence required for incident management, and documenting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for incidents.
  • Perform day-to-day activities required to monitor systems for events or alerts, and coordinate and manage the resolutions of events and alerts.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of related experience providing support to an enterprise operation center, monitoring and managing enterprise systems and networks using advanced technologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with Service Now and BMC Remedy is preferred.
  • Ability to attain a Public Trust clearance, and be a US Citizen or alien who has been lawfully admitted for permanent residence or employment.

Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, and may require working outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
