Job Summary:

Flynn Orthodontics is seeking a temporary Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join their team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced environment that encourages learning, team cohesion, and puts patients first.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment
• Conduct a thorough review of patients' health history to provide quality care
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments, including iTero 3D scanner and digital photography
• Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during various procedures, adhering to state dental practice acts
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations
• Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
• If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year
