We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Engineering Supervisor to join our team at John Muir Health. As a key member of our Healthcare Technology Management Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our HTM team, ensuring the safety, functionality, and reliability of all medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise a team of biomedical engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff to address equipment issues, support new technology implementations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the hospital.
- Perform light preventive maintenance and technical tasks as needed, and participate in on-call rotation.
- Associate degree or higher in a related field (required).
- 5 years of hospital experience (required).
- 3 years of management experience (preferred).
- AAMI-CBET certification (required or obtained within 12 months of employment).
- Biomedical engineering principles, medical equipment maintenance, and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO).
- Leadership and management skills, including supervising teams, organizational skills, and time management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical staff.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures and ability to perform light tasks as needed.
This is a full-time position with a 10-hour workday, Monday through Friday. The work shift is from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with no waiver. The pay range is $98.66 per hour, with the opportunity for advancement based on experience and performance.
