We are seeking a highly skilled Senior General Liability Claims Examiner to join our team at C. Winchell Agency, Inc.
Key Responsibilities:- Examine and adjust general liability claims and lawsuits to achieve an amicable resolution.
- Review insurance policies to determine coverage and investigate claims to gather necessary documentation.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys.
- Conduct initial investigations, secure medical records, and review damages to ensure proper reserves are placed.
- Stay up-to-date with tort and insurance law in the jurisdiction.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience handling premises liability claims.
- Experience handling liability claims in New York is required.
- Professional Designations - AIC, CPCU, SCLA are preferred.
- Knowledge of Commercial General Liability (CGL) coverage forms and Microsoft Office 365 is required.
