Logistics Operations Specialist

The Freight Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless logistics operations at Buckle LLC. This position involves a variety of tasks assigned by store management, including receiving and processing daily shipments, shipping merchandise, maintaining backroom organization, and performing routine cleaning duties.
Main Responsibilities:- Verify merchandise invoices to ensure accuracy of shipments
- Process alterations, layaways, and special orders via FedEx
- Check freight packing slips and transfer slips for errors
- Double-check transfers processed through the register to ensure accuracy
- Fold items and place them in suitable boxes for proper presentation when shipped to Guests or other stores
- Remove pins and plastic from merchandise shipped in
- Apply Sensormatic tags to garments in designated areas
- Hang and fold merchandise for display on sales floors, steaming as needed
- Assist with projects on the sales floor as required
- Work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, based on store and business needs
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) software
- Receive freight boxes and process transfers through the register
- Maintain all shipment-related paperwork
- Identify and address security risks and thefts, following established protocols
- Create FedEx labels for outgoing packages and sort them according to transit times
- Submit recalls and Return to Vendors (RTVs) on a weekly basis
- Manage supplies, including boxes, transfer bags, printer paper, hangers, sensors, and more
- Organize fixtures and shelving
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Communicate policy violations to Store Manager, District Manager, and Human Resources
- Provide feedback to Store Manager, Assistant Manager, and Floor Leaders regarding merchandise handling concerns
- Understand and adhere to Buckle's Code of Ethics and policies
- Fulfill the company's mission statement by delivering exceptional customer service while contributing to a positive team environment
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
$16.28 - $18.00 per hour
Requirements and Qualifications:No prior experience or training is required for this position; however, ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, and talk is necessary. Physical ability to lift and maneuver 30lbs throughout the store and backroom is also necessary.
Work Environment:This position operates in a retail store setting with moderate noise levels.
