Medical Case Manager Senior Professional

We are seeking a Medical Case Manager II to join our team at CorVel Healthcare Corporation in Downers Grove, IL. This is a great opportunity for a caring and self-motivated registered nurse to make a meaningful difference in the lives of injured workers and their families.
This role requires regular travel, dependent on the injured worker's injuries and needs. The employee must be available for local travel up to approximately 60% of the work week/month, with occasional overnight stays.
Job Responsibilities- Collaborate with Injured Workers: Work closely with injured workers to facilitate their recovery, providing support and guidance throughout the process.
- Negotiate Care Plans: Utilize medical and nursing knowledge to discuss treatment plans with physicians and other healthcare providers, ensuring that care is appropriate, necessary, and cost-effective.
- Evaluate Patient Progress: Assess patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Communicate Effectively: Maintain open communication with patients, family members, physicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Travel Requirements: Travel locally (up to 60% of workweek) and occasionally overnight to meet with patients, healthcare providers, and attorneys.
- Certifications & Licenses: Current RN licensure in state of operation; CCM, CIRS, or other case management certifications preferred.
- Education & Experience: Graduate of accredited school of nursing with experience as a Medical Case Manager or in orthopedics, neurology, or rehabilitation.
- Skills & Qualifications: Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills; ability to work independently and within a team environment.
The estimated salary range for this position is $63,902 - $96,662.
