Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the facility's preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to ensure optimal operational efficiency of bakery machinery and processes.
- Organize, direct, and oversee the tasks performed by Mechanics using the plant's PM program.
- Provide technical assistance for controls, electrical, and mechanical systems, and equipment.
- Monitor Maintenance KPIs and PM system reports, utilizing these insights to initiate corrective actions to enhance maintenance performance.
Requirements:
- Ensure maintenance procedures align with company policies and standards.
- Work primarily indoors, shielded from weather conditions, but may encounter noise levels requiring hearing protection in designated areas.
- Be aware of hazards such as proximity to moving parts, electrical currents, and heavy moving objects.
- Ability to work in an environment with flour dust.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English to understand and follow work and safety instructions.
- Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Technical or Bachelor's degree in a related field or completion of an AIB Maintenance Correspondence Course is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably within the food sector.
- A combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates competency to perform the work may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of PLC systems is a plus.
- Operational experience in electrical circuitry and repair of bread and roll production equipment.
- Familiarity with refrigeration and fuel-burning equipment is essential.
- Must possess computer literacy and have effectively built, developed, and led teams.
- Mental and visual capability to identify various components and interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams, instructions, gauges, meters, etc.
