This role is integral to our Information Technology team, providing support to SpaceX personnel and operational systems. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating self-motivation and innovative problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with fellow IT professionals to gather requirements and design, implement, and maintain enterprise software solutions tailored to the needs of SpaceX engineering teams.
  • Develop and maintain robust, high-performance, and scalable systems.
  • Apply lessons learned and established technology standards in specialized environments.
  • Take ownership of processes and systems, ensuring they align with our mission of interplanetary exploration.
  • Propose, justify, and execute enhancements using recognized change management practices.
  • Work within a diverse team to devise innovative solutions and address challenges proactively.
  • Establish and adhere to standards and best practices for system design, testing, and deployment.
  • Drive automation and scripting initiatives to streamline common tasks.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems, or 7 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing Windows servers in both physical and virtual enterprise environments.
  • 3 years of experience with Active Directory, Kerberos, and multi-platform authentication systems.
  • 1 year of experience with networking technologies and Linux operating systems.
  • 1 year of scripting experience.

Preferred Skills:
  • Proven ability to design reliable, scalable systems architectures with high availability and performance metrics.
  • Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Windows-based services such as DHCP, DNS, and MS-SQL.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange deployments.
  • Familiarity with configuration management and DevOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments.
  • Networking experience, including IPv4, routing, and firewall management.
  • Ability to work with critical systems while maintaining a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders.

Additional Requirements:
  • Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation for this role ranges from $120,000 to $160,000 annually, with potential additional benefits for those holding an active clearance. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, paid parental leave, and generous vacation time.
