This externship in Clinical Trial Operations is a vital talent pipeline for our Internship Program in Clinical Trial Operations. Participants of this externship will be given strong consideration for internship roles in Clinical Trial Operations in the subsequent year.
Clinical trials are essential for ensuring that new treatments are safe and effective for patient use. These studies are conducted with human volunteers to address critical health inquiries: Is the treatment safe? Does it provide benefits? Is it superior to existing options? At AbbVie, our Development Operations team manages clinical trials, providing strategic and operational oversight for the planning, execution, and reporting of clinical development initiatives, facilitating successful global registration and commercialization of drug development projects. Our Data and Statistical Sciences (DSS) team plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of clinical data and delivering high-quality analytics to support AbbVie's development pipeline.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with a focus on Science
- Expected graduation within the next few years
Preferred Qualifications:

- Strong business acumen along with excellent communication, leadership, project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Experience with Microsoft Excel or similar database tools is advantageous
