Grace Christian School, a private K-8 Christian School, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Elementary School Instructional Aide to support our teachers and students in grades K-2.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will assist classroom teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and implementation, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment. This role requires a strong understanding of child development principles, excellent communication skills, and a passion for education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support classroom teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and implementation
  • Prepare materials, including copying, collating, and distributing materials as directed by the teacher
  • Convey information to students using language concepts, examples, demonstrations, and teaching aids
  • Guide students' personal and social development by enforcing rules and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Contribute to team effort by leading small group activities as planned and directed by the teacher
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or higher required
  • Has, or willing to obtain, an educational aide certificate or substitute teaching license
  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant is preferred
  • Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
  • Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A love for the Lord and demonstrated understanding of biblical integration
  • Ability to pass an FBI/BCI background check
