At St. Anthony Foundation, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to join our team. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and supervise nursing staff activities to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and maintain the ability of nursing staff to work effectively as a team.
  • Oversee the suitability, placement, and scheduling of nursing volunteers and AmeriCorps members.
  • Take leadership in the development of nursing protocols and procedures to ensure safe and quality care.
  • Schedule and facilitate nursing team meetings and attend designated staff meetings.
  • Participate in the interdisciplinary quality improvement team.
  • Develop mechanisms for continually maintaining the effectiveness of nursing care.
  • Contribute to innovations and improvements in patient care.
  • Participate in improvement projects and patient safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance & Quality Manager.
  • Monitor and maintain crash carts, EKG, IV, blood draw, orthopedic, and I&D trays.
  • Clean, stock, and maintain lab, I&D, and utility rooms.
  • Maintain monthly vaccination inventory and ensure compliance with California Department of Public Health Immunization Branch protocols.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and receive and prioritize requests from nursing staff for medical supplies and equipment.
  • Orient and train new nursing staff, students, volunteers, and AmeriCorps members as needed.
Requirements:
  • Completion of high school, supplemented by graduation from an accredited school of nursing or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Possession of a valid certificate as a Registered Nurse issued by the State Board of Nursing Examiners and requisite Continuing Education Units.
  • A minimum of 5 years direct patient care experience plus a minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
  • Requires thorough working knowledge of modern methods, techniques, and procedures used in professional nursing, including understanding of medical terminology and clinic routines, procedures, equipment, and facilities.
  • Requires the ability to work cooperatively with others and use good judgment in unusual and emergent situations.
  • Requires strong organizational and communication skills and possession of CPR certification.
  • Prefer bi-lingual in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, or other Asian dialect.
  • Excellent ability to speak clearly and be understood in English.
