Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for designing and leading risk and compliance activities and projects, specifically the Retention Schedule Program. This includes applying advanced knowledge to administer and maintain the Information & Records Retention Schedule, developing and implementing process improvements, and evaluating historic Retention Schedule documentation relative to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Design and lead risk and compliance activities and projects, specifically the Retention Schedule Program.
- Apply advanced knowledge to administer and maintain the Information & Records Retention Schedule.
- Develop and implement process improvements to establish clear, consistent documentation practices around decisions to change the Retention Schedule.
- Evaluate historic Retention Schedule documentation relative to process improvements, remediate issues, and take initiative to identify and understand changing legal, regulatory, and business requirements.
- Facilitate change requests to the Retention Schedule, responding to Functional Areas needs, and leverage cross-functional working relationships to define research needs in collaboration with Functional Area record owners, internal subject matter experts, and stakeholders.
- Support information lifecycle program and data disposition project by reviewing existing and adding examples to retention categories for user clarity, advising on whether a Functional Area should initiate a change request, and managing performance management tools and measurements.
- Work with all levels of leadership (up to and including VP) across functions to influence decisions around records retention and data disposition, and develop training and educational materials.
- Minimum 6 years of related experience in records management or applicable experience.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, public policy, library and information systems, information technology, legal studies, or related discipline; or equivalent experience.
- Desired: Master's degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, public policy, library and information systems, information technology, legal studies, or related discipline; or equivalent experience, experience with retention schedule development and management, including the use of retention schedule software, and CRM, IGP, or related information governance certification.
Pacific Gas And Electric Company offers a competitive salary range of $114,000 - $182,000, depending on location and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
