We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Southcoast Health System. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and technical expertise in radiography and related modalities.
Responsibilities- Perform diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
- Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request.
- Obtain pertinent information from patient?s chart and document all data within the EHR.
- Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies.
- Identify, prepare, and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure.
- Select technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images.
- Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality.
- Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others and aware of MR safety practices.
- Assist physicians in performing procedures.
- Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
- Attainment of primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography within one year of eligibility.
- Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must be willing to train in Mammography and Bone Density when needed.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
