Job Description

As a Data Lake Engineer at STAFIDE, you will play a critical role in guiding the development team to ensure that capabilities are developed that benefit the enterprise. Your expertise will be instrumental in engaging with user communities to capture and translate operational requirements, leading technical efforts during annual exercises, and collaborating with nations on test plan scenarios and architecture development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance to the development team to ensure that solutions are developed that align with relevant architectures, standards, and policies.
  • Engage with user communities to capture and translate operational requirements, ensuring that user needs are translated into actionable solutions.
  • Lead technical efforts during annual exercises, such as the Coalition Warrior Interoperability Exercise (CWIX), supporting the deployment of Lake Diver and Data Lake capabilities.
  • Collaborate with nations on test plan scenarios, architecture development, and exercise execution, ensuring that solutions are developed that meet the needs of international organizations.
  • Visit operational entities to interview operators, translating user needs into actionable solutions that align with relevant architectures, standards, and policies.
  • Create detailed component specifications and design comprehensive solutions that align with relevant architectures, standards, and policies.
  • Provide guidance on the modification and development of solution components for compatibility and adherence to standards.
  • Act as part of the development team by writing software code when needed, ensuring that solutions are developed that meet the needs of the enterprise.
  • Offer technical advice on system development, integration, and change management processes, ensuring that solutions are developed that align with relevant architectures, standards, and policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical plans, ensuring that appropriate resources are allocated to support the development of solutions.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and/or C# with at least 4 years of hands-on experience.
  • Strong knowledge of systems integration within high-efficiency information exchange ecosystems.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience developing solutions with Elastic Search or an equivalent technology.
  • Expertise in Data Bricks, Apache Kafka, Spark, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies, with at least 24 months of experience in the past 40 months.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies, including Agile and SCRUM (certification is a plus).
  • Experience with JSON, XML, XSD, and the ability to quickly learn XQUERY, XPATH, and/or XSLT.
  • Desirable knowledge of XSLT is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Understanding of network design, DNS, domains, and PKI certificates.
