Join the Johns Hopkins Medicine team as a Central Transporter, responsible for providing safe, efficient, and effective transportation of patients, medical equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:- Transport patients, medical equipment, and supplies in a timely and safe manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other departments to ensure smooth transportation operations.
- Manage the transporter menu of Meditech, including pulling up master schedules, using email, and utilizing nurse call systems.
- Utilize proper lifting techniques, wear back support, and understand basic medical terminology to ensure patient safety.
- Adhere to infection control techniques and hand washing procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient transport or a related field.
- Ability to read and follow directions, complete basic forms, and manage the transporter menu of Meditech.
As a Central Transporter at Johns Hopkins Medicine, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $15.61-$17.99 per hour, commensurate with equity and experience.
