We are currently seeking a full-time Behavior Intervention Specialist. This role is pivotal in delivering behavior analysis and programming services to our participants. As a key member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, you will provide care and support specifically to adults with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of Behavioral Regulations.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in program decision-making as part of the leadership team, offering guidance and support to staff.
- Conduct necessary psychological evaluations for service recipients.
- Perform Functional Behavioral Assessments, create behavior intervention plans, and monitor medication as required.
- Oversee the collection, summarization, and analysis of data related to behavior programs.
- Ensure all documentation meets agency and regulatory standards.
- Provide leadership, training, and support to agency staff, including clinical and direct support personnel.
- Exhibit knowledge of learning principles and training methods based on positive reinforcement.
- Facilitate outreach and connections with other clinical community services.
- Develop therapeutic relationships with participants.
- Attend and coordinate meetings as necessary, participating in clinical review committees.
- Offer direct clinical support to interns through established partnerships with educational institutions.

Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in a clinical or treatment field such as psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology, along with documented training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development; or
- A national board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA) and a Master's degree in behavior analysis; or
- A New York State license in mental health counseling; and
- A minimum of five years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior support plans; and/or providing supervision and training to others in the implementation of behavior support plans.
- Certification or the ability to obtain certification in SCIP-R.
- Strong skills in behavioral analysis.
- Effective communication and demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- A valid NYS driver's license with no moving violations deemed unacceptable by our insurance provider.
