We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Assistant Professor of Elementary Education to join our team at the University of Alabama. This is a full-time, non-tenure earning position with a contract of three years, eligible for renewal.
About the PositionThe Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the College of Education at the University of Alabama is seeking a Clinical Assistant Professor of Elementary Education (grades PreK-6) generalist. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the Elementary Education program, supervising undergraduate and graduate students, and providing service within the University, to state and local education agencies, and to relevant professional organizations.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Elementary Education program
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate students and interns
- Provide service within the University, to state and local education agencies, and to relevant professional organizations
- Collaborate in elementary schools through partnership activities
- Earned Doctorate in Elementary Education, or Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Elementary Education
- Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Elementary Education program
- Ability to supervise undergraduate and graduate students and interns
- Ability to provide service within the University, to state and local education agencies, and to relevant professional organizations
