We are seeking an experienced Director of Purchasing to join our team at Trumark Homes. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
- Coordinate with internal teams to identify purchasing needs and develop strategies to meet those needs.
- Lead and direct the work of the Purchasing Team, including hiring, training, and supervising.
- Administer the bidding process and contracts, including the creation of specifications.
- Continually improve purchasing methods and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- 4-Year University Degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in the homebuilding industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Effective communication skills (Written & Verbal).
- Ability to succeed in a team environment.
- Customer service oriented.
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Ability to generate bold, creative ideas to improve performance.
