Job Title: Director of Purchasing

We are seeking an experienced Director of Purchasing to join our team at Trumark Homes. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies that drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to identify purchasing needs and develop strategies to meet those needs.
  • Lead and direct the work of the Purchasing Team, including hiring, training, and supervising.
  • Administer the bidding process and contracts, including the creation of specifications.
  • Continually improve purchasing methods and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • 4-Year University Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in the homebuilding industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills (Written & Verbal).
  • Ability to succeed in a team environment.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to generate bold, creative ideas to improve performance.
