Job Description

Focus Staff is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist for a contract position in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Perform patient studies according to established protocols, including placing coils close to areas of interest.
  • Interview patients to explain MRI procedures, address concerns, and provide exceptional patient care.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols, removing hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
  • Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
Requirements
  • Two years of continuous experience as a MRI Technologist, with proficiency in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II.
  • License in the required state.
  • BLS certification.
  • Knowledge of MRI protocols and procedures.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
