Defect Technician

We are seeking a skilled Defect Technician to join our team at Hughes Resources in Freeport, Illinois. As a Defect Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and meeting customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and classify scrap materials, and enter cured scrap into our system.
- Repair and troubleshoot press set-ups to optimize production efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with technical production personnel to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Track and record weekly serial changes and press shaping checks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 3 years of quality technical experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to lift 75lbs or more.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Competitive hourly rate starting at $17-$18/hour.
