Job Title: Cloud Data Architect

The Cloud Data Solutions Architect is responsible for transforming transactional and third-party data into data products. These self-service data assets are utilized by BI Developers, Data Scientists, and Analysts across AssistRx to gain insights, make predictions, and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate business requirements into data models that are easy to understand and used by different subject areas.
  • Design and implement data warehousing solutions on cloud platforms, including data ingestion, integration, and transformation, reporting applications, custom analytics, data migration from on-prem to cloud infrastructure, and cloud storage architecture.
  • Improve existing systems, including identifying areas with gaps that need to be filled, and work with the team and stakeholders to scope and prioritize solutions.
  • Develop and implement large-scale data warehouses, Business Intelligence, and MDM solutions, including Data Lakes/Data Vaults.
  • Partner with product teams, data analysts, and engineering teams to build foundational data sets that are trusted, well understood, and aligned with business strategy.
  • Produce cloud data solutions with administration, configuration management, monitoring, debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, and 6+ years of experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering work.
  • Alternatively, a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, and 4+ years of experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering work.
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Hands-On experience with Snowlake administration, SnoPro certification preferred.

Data Management experience, such as Master Data Management, Reference Data Management, Data Governance, Data Integration, and Data Security.

Experience with related or complementary open source software platforms and languages, including Java, Linux, Apache, Perl/Python/PHP, and Chef.

Hands-on experience with ETL tools, including Informatica, Talend, dbt, and Azure Data Factory.

Knowledge/Hands-on experience with BI tools and reporting software, including Cognos, Power BI, and Tableau.

Big Data stack, including Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, Sqoop, Pig, HBase, Hive, and Flume.
