Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support the In-patient Imaging Department on an on-call basis at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital.

This PRN position requires flexibility in scheduling, with the expectation of taking weekend calls every 3rd or 4th weekend. The technologist ensures high-quality imaging while promoting patient safety and contributing to the hospital's recognized commitment to exceptional healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine exams on patients: prepare patients for exam; explain procedure; prepare and administer radioactive isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies using a variety of radioisotope equipment;
  • Detect and map radiopharmaceuticals in patient bodies using imaging equipment; ensure technical quality of the images;
  • Collect, prepare, and analyze biologic specimens; prepare data for interpretation;
  • Enter and monitor patient data;
  • Perform quality assurance on imaging equipment;
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology;
  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support;
  • Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required;
  • Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB);
