Position Overview

Job Title: Certified Phlebotomist

Job Type: Full Time

Location: Outpatient Clinic

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identity by verifying two (2) identifiers such as name, date of birth, or social security number prior to specimen collection.
  • Execute venipuncture in accordance with established laboratory protocols.
  • Ensure collection of sufficient and accurately labeled specimens.
  • Conduct both waived and non-waived testing as required.
  • Prepare specimens for analysis or transfer to other laboratories.
Required Qualifications
  • Certification: Must possess and uphold a valid certification as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician from the State of California.
  • Experience: At least one (1) year of direct patient care experience in performing venipunctures within a clinical or hospital environment.
  • Health Compliance: Must have current tuberculosis testing, rubella testing, and immunizations within the last year.
