About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our team at BlueNova Industries. As a Platform Engineer specializing in Kubernetes, you will play a critical role in the development and operation of our central multi-tenant platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Platform Operations: Support the operation of our central multi-tenant platform, ensuring the smooth delivery of services to our customers.
  • Infrastructure Development: Further develop and operate key areas of our platform, including Shared-Enterprise-Kubernetes-Cluster, Container Storage (Ceph), Logging/Monitoring, Operators (Golang), Message Broker (Pub/Sub & Streaming), and Service Mesh/Istio.
  • Technology Evaluation: Continuously evaluate new technologies and stay up-to-date with industry trends to ensure our platform remains competitive.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Document best practice approaches and support cross-departmental knowledge exchange to promote a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Ensure automation and revisioned representation of infrastructure in code, using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Completed studies/training in computer science or a comparable qualification, as well as practical experience in the administration of enterprise Kubernetes clusters.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in applying IaC principles, automation/manifestation through CI/CD, and a focus on telemetry & observability (metrics, logging, tracing).
  • Infrastructure Knowledge: Experience with virtual and bare-metal infrastructures, secure application of container storage technologies (Ceph), and secrets management (Hashicorp Vault).
  • Programming Skills: Shell or coding experience (Python, Golang, BASH) and excellent network knowledge (routing, NAT, firewall, VLAN).
