Auto Body Repair Specialist

About the Role
The Auto Body Technician will play a pivotal role in delivering our company's promise of speed, quality, and customer excellence. This individual will be responsible for providing exceptional customer experiences through the meticulous assessment and quality repair of each customer's vehicle to restore it back to pre-accident condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent execution of our WOW plan.
- Plan and prepare cost estimates for customers, utilizing various tools to repair vehicle sections.
- Repair dents, dimples, and other minor body damage, and mix and apply filler resins when necessary.
- Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
- Remove and replace damaged vehicle sections with new or aftermarket parts, and repair or replace glass and windshields as needed.
- Replace or repair interior parts, weld and attach parts into place, and prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or agreed-upon equivalent.
- Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and ensure all work is executed correctly by inspecting vehicles after repair.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
