Key Responsibilities:

The following responsibilities are indicative of the tasks, knowledge, skills, and characteristics required for this role. This list is not exhaustive and may not encompass all duties assigned.

Project Leadership:

  • Direct and manage framing crews across various commercial construction initiatives.
  • Ensure all framing activities comply with project specifications, plans, and industry regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Planning and Coordination:

  • Create and uphold project timelines in partnership with the project manager.
  • Synchronize framing operations with other trades, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts to maintain project momentum.

Quality Control:

  • Implement rigorous quality assurance protocols to uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship.
  • Conduct frequent inspections and promptly address any issues or deficiencies.
  • Adopt best practices to improve framing quality and operational efficiency.

Resource Oversight:

  • Effectively manage labor, equipment, and material resources.
  • Source materials and equipment as necessary, optimizing costs and delivery schedules.
  • Oversee inventory management and control processes.

Communication:

  • Foster clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including the project manager, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Regularly report on project progress, challenges, and solutions.

Safety Management:

  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and regulations on job sites.
  • Encourage a safety-first culture among framing teams and subcontractors.
  • Investigate and document safety incidents, implementing corrective measures as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Framing Supervisor in commercial construction.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of framing techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and plans.
  • OSHA certification is preferred.
  • A degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must pass a drug test.
  • Background check required for driving company vehicles.
  • Willingness to travel is necessary.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Work primarily outdoors, occasionally indoors, in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to communicate sensitive information tactfully.
  • Proficient in operating small equipment such as scissor lifts, man lifts, skid steers, mini excavators, and power tools.
  • Encourage leadership development among team members while serving as a mentor.
  • Possess necessary small hand tools.
  • Commit to ongoing industry education and skill enhancement.
  • Manage invoicing and receipts.
  • Utilize accounting software.
  • Engage in risk management practices.
  • Employ estimating software.
  • Prepare financial reports.
  • Participate in job site meetings.
