Job Title: Crusher Laborer

United Companies, a CRH Company, is seeking a skilled Crusher Laborer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely performing a variety of construction duties to assist our highway, utility, and grade crews or at various on-site plant locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform machinery maintenance and repairs, including unplugging and shoveling off conveyors and screens, changing out screens, rollers, and cone liners, and repairing conveyor problems.
  • Set up and take down crusher machinery, including running cables and hoses, setting up blocks, assembling and disassembling machinery, operating a skidsteer to move parts, and tarping and shoveling aggregate.
  • Keep the crusher machinery area clean of debris and shovel aggregate.
  • Operate equipment, including skidsteers and loaders, to move excess materials from around the crusher machinery.
  • Use various equipment, hand, and power tools.
  • Pick up and/or deliver construction materials at job site locations.
  • Perform job site clean-up.
  • Assist with flagging and traffic control as needed.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment in a safe and clean condition.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Previous related experience in the construction field is a plus.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid Driver's License is preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
