Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the Town of Merrimack, NH. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing laws and maintaining public safety in our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and order
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing assistance and support to the community
  • Identify and apprehend criminal offenders, reducing the opportunity for crime to occur
  • Aid individuals in danger, facilitating the movement of traffic and pedestrians
  • Identify and address potential law enforcement and governmental problems
  • Promote and preserve peace in the community
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Current certification by the NH Police Standards and Training Council (for current full or part-time police officers)
  • Meet all qualifying standards set forth by the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council
