About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Banquet Server to join our team at Labor Finders. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients and their guests in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting and Serving: Greet customers and answer their questions about menu items and specials. Take food or drink orders from customers and relay orders to kitchen staff.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare breakfast, lunch, or dinner food and drink orders, such as sandwiches, salads, meals, and coffee.
  • Communication: Communicate meal requirements, allergies, dietary, and special requests to captain or kitchen supervisor.
  • Serving and Cleaning: Serve food and drinks to customers at a bar counter, stand, or table. Clean work areas, tables, or counters.
  • Replenishment: Replenish and stock service stations, cabinets, and tables.
  • Table Setting: Set tables, prepare food trays for new customers, ensure courses are cleared, and tables crumbed.
  • Buffet Management: Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation.
  • Bar Service: Serve coffee, soda, and other beverages, or prepare specialties, such as milkshakes and ice cream sundaes, and keep bar equipment clean and glasses washed.
  • Physical Demands: Stand, bend, climb stairs, and carry items weighing 25-50 pounds.
  • Work Schedule: Work extended dining hours, early morning, late evening, weekend, and holidays.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills (English) and the ability to listen carefully to customers' orders and correctly relay them to the kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared to the customers' satisfaction.
  • Customer Service: A positive attitude with strong customer service skills.
  • Problem Solving: The ability to handle customer requests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Physical Stamina: Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods of time, carry heavy trays, clean work areas, and attend to customer requests without difficulty.
  • Education: A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous food service experience is a bonus, but no experience required.
