About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Music Therapist to join our team at AccentCare, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete music therapy assessments with patients and families, in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care.
  • Plan and implement music therapy interventions to improve or maintain mental and physical function and quality of life.
  • Guide patients in the use of creative therapeutic activities to achieve individualized care plan goals.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of music therapy services with patients and/or families.
  • Document all services provided to hospice patients and families in the clinical record.
  • Provide in-services to staff, hospitals, nursing homes, and other facilities as requested.
  • Participate in the on-call schedule as required.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support the bereavement program at the site level, including completing bereavement calls and visits, facilitating bereavement support groups, and participating in the monthly bereavement committee meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including those within the scope of current, valid professional licensure/credentials.
Requirements
  • Must be a licensed Music Therapist with experience in hospice care.
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
