About HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball is a 350-bed facility offering a diverse range of services, including emergency care, labor and delivery, a level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), general surgery, orthopedics, and robotic surgery. The hospital's expansive campus features specialized centers such as The Tomball Regional Orthopedic Center, The Women's Center, Texas Sports Medicine Center, and The Heart and Vascular Center.

As part of HCA Houston Healthcare, we are integrated into a vast network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency facilities, and diagnostic imaging centers across the greater Houston area, Corpus Christi, and South Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct imaging procedures adhering to institutional protocols, equipment manufacturer guidelines, and radiation safety regulations.
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment, instruct patients, and prepare examination rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients across all age groups, maintaining a professional and compassionate demeanor.
  • Consistently provide exemplary service to patients, physicians, colleagues, and visitors.
  • Demonstrate initiative in completing tasks and offer assistance proactively.
  • Recognize personal limitations and seek guidance from appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Prioritize tasks based on service demands effectively.
  • Maintain vigilance in identifying errors in personal and others' work, initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Understand and uphold patient rights, including confidentiality, informed consent, and privacy.
  • Be aware of available resources for ethical concerns and make appropriate referrals.
  • Practice cost-effective measures in daily operations.
  • Exhibit proficiency in technical skills in line with established standards, validated through annual assessments.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and capability to perform all imaging examinations as required.
  • Execute MRI examinations following departmental protocols.
  • Conduct CT examinations if cross-trained.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an AMA accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent.
  • ARRT Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist or eligible.
  • MRI Registry – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or eligible.
  • Valid Texas State Licensure.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
  • One to two years of experience in diagnostic radiology or equivalent.
  • Additional one to two years of experience in MRI preferred.
  • Ability to perform routine MRI procedures with minimal supervision.
