Job Description

As a Senior Technical Lead - Fixed Assets, you will provide expert guidance to controllers and their project teams across HCL Technologies' business units. Your expertise in fixed asset accounting will ensure accurate and timely capitalization of assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fixed asset accounting guidance to controllers and project teams
  • Experience in fixed assets depreciation areas, book, statutory, tax, and derived
  • Integrate fixed assets to plant maintenance equipment records
  • Design master and transactional data migration from legacy systems
  • Experience with mid-year go live for fixed assets project systems
  • Process monthly transfers of AUC (Asset Under Construction) to Fixed Assets
  • Asset Capitalization Process monthly asset retirements and transfers
  • AUC accounting across all business areas (SAP Capital Projects App)
  • Provide guidance and review of cost activity for accuracy and completeness
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of all fixed asset movements in the SAP fixed asset register
  • Resolve discrepancies on a monthly basis
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of automated depreciation postings in SAP
  • Ensure assets are depreciating accurately as intended
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated reporting for all fixed asset metrics
  • Ensure new, modified, or terminated leases are entered in CoStar software timely
  • Reconcile lease expenses and submit lease payments from CoStar to SAP
  • Nice to have hands-on configuration and design experience with SAP Contract Management System and Lease Accounting
  • Participate in at least 2 end-to-end SAP Contract Lease Management implementations with SAP Finance
  • Respond to tax team, internal audit team, and external audit team on related fixed assets
  • Proactively interact and respond timely to emergency capex requests or urgent requests to support the operating business units and executive management
  • Undertake other ad-hoc tasks as required, particularly on improving processes and system

Requirements

  • Experience with Media Industry Content accounting is a plus
