The Youth Support Coordinator is tasked with delivering compassionate care and services to all young individuals with the utmost respect and unwavering support.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Coordinator is responsible for fostering a sense of community among youth that is inclusive and affirming, ensuring that each individual feels welcomed, acknowledged, and valued.
They are expected to inspire and motivate young people by cultivating an environment that actively engages them, allowing for their voices and choices to be heard.
Specific duties include:
- Assisting residents in achieving their personal goals, case plans, and daily routines.
- Maintaining regular communication through company channels.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned by supervisory staff.
- Providing input for goal setting and performance evaluations.
- Monitoring resident activities to ensure a safe and healthy living environment.
- Facilitating life skills workshops, community meals, recreational activities, and other essential services.
- Participating in committees established within the organization.
- Engaging in case management meetings and attending mandatory training sessions.
- Accompanying residents as necessary for activities outside the facility.
All interactions with youth on the caseload, as well as those outside of it, must be documented accurately.
Additionally, the Coordinator will be responsible for providing thorough and precise reporting related to grant information.
Support may also be required for fundraising initiatives and special events that occur outside of regular working hours.
QualificationsApplicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong communication and crisis management skills.
- Excellent assessment and judgment abilities.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
