Key Responsibilities- Documentation: Accurately and thoroughly document patient medical visits and procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR), including patient medical history, physical exams, procedures, and treatments.
- Quality Control: Review medical documentation for errors and inconsistencies, and discuss findings with physicians to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information at all times.
- Communication: Demonstrate professional, non-intrusive interaction with patients, and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of medical or receptionist experience preferred.
- Skills: Ability to learn and apply basic medical terminologies and techniques, strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to actively listen.
- Equipment: Proficiency in operating a personal computer and related software applications, and ability to work in a dynamic, highly-stressful environment.
- Medical Terminology: Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to apply it in a clinical setting.
- AHA BLS Card: Current AHA BLS card or equivalent.
The Medical Scribe will work in a dynamic, highly-stressful environment that routinely involves exposure to highly-sensitive personal medical issues. The ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism is essential.
