Position Overview

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator plays a crucial role in the daily management of our Security Operations Center. Responsibilities include monitoring security systems, liaising with field Security Officers, and dispatching calls for assistance to the appropriate units.

The SOC operates continuously, requiring flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. SOC Operators are integral members of the team, reporting to a SOC Lead and supporting various company needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming emergency and non-emergency communications, coordinating with emergency services as necessary.
  • Assess the nature and urgency of calls, prioritizing responses accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate incident reports.
  • Monitor both internal and external security systems to ensure safety.
  • Assist field units by verifying information through available data sources.
  • Utilize two-way radios and other communication tools to relay information effectively.
  • Handle multiple emergency situations with composure and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support SOC operations.

Qualifications

We seek motivated individuals who are eager to build a long-term career in security operations. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Valid driver's license or state ID required.
  • Proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in emergency services, private security, or related fields.
  • Preferred: Associate's degree or certification in IT, Cyber Security, or Criminal Justice.
