What We Seek

Navarro Regional Hospital is actively recruiting a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) for our PACU/Outpatient Surgery department within our well-established 162-bed acute care facility.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist plays a vital role as a member of the surgical team, ensuring that the operating environment is both sterile and secure for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess assigned patients and develop, implement, and document comprehensive nursing care plans.
  • Assist physicians during medical examinations and surgical procedures.
  • Conduct various patient assessments and administer medications in accordance with the registered nurse's scope of practice.
  • Empower patients' autonomy by setting care objectives and educating patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and self-management skills.

  • Competence in caring for a diverse patient demographic, from pediatric to geriatric.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Registered Nurse certification in the State of Texas.
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a surgical circulator role is preferred.
Work Schedule:
Five (5) shifts of eight (8) hours each. On-call duties are required, with a response time of 20 minutes or the option to remain in a designated hospital room.
