Banner Health is seeking a skilled Patient Care Assistant to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living and complete necessary tasks to promote patient health and well-being.
- Collect patient specimens and data, including vital signs, input/output, and other delegated measurements.
- Recognize and report abnormalities and/or changes in patient health status and response to treatment.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Patient Care Assistant or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic life support certification (BLS) or equivalent.
