We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Norwalk Hospital Association. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care, assessing patient needs, and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, including administering medications, performing physical assessments, and documenting patient information
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (CBL) certification within three months of hire
- Experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a medical-surgical or critical care unit
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The Registered Nurse must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time. The position also requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
