Manufacturing Process Engineer

The Manufacturing Process Engineer is accountable for overseeing all technical aspects of assigned projects within the Genesis initiative. This role involves planning, scheduling, and coordinating tasks while ensuring adherence to relevant codes, standards, and project charters. Effective communication and collaboration across various disciplines and project participants are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects related to Genesis implementation, including the development and maintenance of capital budgets and expense reduction initiatives.
- Oversee the coordination and verification of system automation engineering deliverables, which includes creating project schedules, forecasts, and monthly status reports.
- Ensure the successful completion of projects by establishing clear goals, budgets, timelines, and scopes, while performing ongoing monitoring and trend analysis.
- Engage in contractor meetings to address and resolve manufacturing, engineering, and management project challenges.
- Contribute to Genesis-related automation projects, participating from inception through to completion.
- Facilitate the design, procurement, and implementation of machinery and equipment for manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment with plant operations.
- Utilize management skills to cultivate relationships with vendors, ensuring equipment remains updated with the latest technology.
- Prepare necessary reports and documentation to effectively communicate project statuses to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at maintaining safe and organized work environments, fostering teamwork across business units.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electro-Mechanical preferred; Mechanical accepted with relevant experience).
- Two to five years of experience in Automation, Robotics, or Machine Controls within corporate and plant environments, demonstrating a solid record of achievement.
- Proven ability to approach challenging problems with a positive mindset.
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing data to resolve issues effectively.
- Successful track record in leading projects to completion.
- Experience in developing, troubleshooting, and integrating machine controls and robotics.
- Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies (8-D, A3, DMAIC, 5 Whys, etc.) is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of PLC and HMI programming, including AB RSLogix and Wonderware software, is advantageous.
- Experience with robotic integration and programming is beneficial.
- Systems Engineering experience is a plus.
- This role requires 40-50% travel, including overnight stays.
