Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Supervisor to join our Hematology/Oncology team at Tidelands Health. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, supervising a team of nurses, and contributing to the development of our clinical programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor a team of nurses to ensure high-quality patient care and excellent patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of our patients.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality assurance activities to ensure that our clinical programs are meeting the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of our clinical education programs to ensure that our staff has the knowledge and skills needed to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Contribute to the development of our clinical research programs, including the design and implementation of clinical trials and the analysis of research data.
  • Collaborate with our business office to develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Three to five years of experience as a professional nurse with progressively more physician practice related responsibility/experience in an appropriate oncology/hematology specialty area.
  • Leadership experience in nursing preferred.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN), required.
  • RN with Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current and in good standing RN Licensure with South Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required to be initially completed with the TH Organizational Development Office within 30 calendar days of hire date.
  • Current Oncology Certification (OCN) through the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC), preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with PC's and Microsoft office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Prior Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.
  • Evidence of effective leadership, interpersonal skills, consensus and team building skills required.
  • Analytical and operational problem solving/decision making skills with the ability to be innovative is required.
  • The ability to be self-motivated to complete organizational projects and goals is required.
  • Knowledge of LEAN and Six Sigma principles is preferred.
