Job Title: Registered Nurse - Pediatric Cardiac ICU

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit team at Inova's LJ Murphy Children's Hospital.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced RN with a strong background in pediatric critical care to provide high-quality patient care and support our team of intensivists. This is a full-time position with a D/N rotation, working 3 x 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents with complex heart conditions.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including intensivists, anesthesiologists, and other specialists, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in pediatric cardiac care.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting exceptional patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of RN clinical experience in a pediatric critical care setting, with a strong preference for experience in pediatric cardiac ICU or CVICU.
  • Education: BSN, MSN, or ADN required; ADN holders must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required.
  • RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.
  • Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
  • Proficient computer skills required.
