Lead Mechanical Engineer

This role offers a unique blend of office and remote work, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. As a Nuclear Power Plant Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and reviewing modifications to operating nuclear power plants, including preparation of functional mechanical drawings and engineering analyses. You will also have the opportunity to develop engineering cost estimates, visit client sites, and lead engineering project teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and review modifications to operating nuclear power plants
- Prepare functional mechanical drawings and engineering analyses
- Develop engineering cost estimates for client-requested work scopes
- Visit client sites to interface with clients and present engineering tasks and status
- Lead engineering project teams
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the power industry
- Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants
- PE license is beneficial, but not required
