Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team on the 3rd Floor Medical Surgical Unit at Johnston Health in Smithfield. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures.
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care, including vital sign measurements, specimen collection, and wound care.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience.
