About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at UNC Health. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a hospital, clinic, or home health care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures.
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care, including vital sign measurements, specimen collection, and personal care activities.
  • Document patient information and report significant changes in patient condition to registered nurses or physicians.
  • Assist patients and their families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
  • Participate in the orientation of new employees and students.
Requirements
  • Listing as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience.
