The Instrumentation & Electrical Technician will be stationed at Phillips 66's Midstream operations. This role involves collaborating with operations teams to ensure the safe upkeep and functionality of pipeline systems and equipment across the designated operational area. Responsibilities include calibrating and inspecting measurement devices, performing routine maintenance on pipelines, identifying and reporting any product leaks, and supporting construction and maintenance projects related to pipeline integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering technical assistance for the maintenance and installation of mechanical, electrical, and rotating equipment.
• Conducting scheduled maintenance checks and calibrations, along with timely documentation submission.
• Operating within budget constraints.
• Managing an effective inventory of spare parts.
• Exploring new technologies to enhance safety and reliability.
• Assisting in pump inspections and installations.
• Reducing downtime and unsafe conditions through preventative maintenance.
• Participating in training sessions to maintain and enhance skills.
• Keeping accurate technical and administrative records, including project reports.
• Responding to emergencies and contributing to emergency response initiatives.
• Overseeing and training contract crews involved in maintenance and construction.
• Reading and interpreting P&IDs.
• Understanding pipeline measurement methods and documentation.
• Performing filter and strainer replacements and other pipeline maintenance tasks.
• Engaging with internal and external industry contacts.
• Promptly addressing customer needs.
• Maintaining emergency response equipment.
• Completing required safety and regulatory training.
• Building and sustaining professional relationships with pipeline customers, colleagues, and vendors.
• Executing environmental and regulatory responsibilities as needed.

Basic Requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to perform the following, with or without reasonable accommodations:
o Climb ladders and work at heights.
o Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
o Push and pull forces up to 100 lbs.
o Operate a forklift.
o Respond to emergency calls and be on-call as necessary.
o Work extended hours as needed.
o Bend, kneel, and squat as required by job demands.
o Work in confined spaces and with hazardous materials.
o Wear personal protective equipment and respirators.
o Work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in electrical maintenance, instrumentation, or industrial electronics.
• Four or more years of relevant industry experience (Midstream, pipelines, or terminals) or military experience.
• Four or more years of experience with electrical components and systems.
