About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Specialist II - Mental Health to join our team at Eliot's. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide side-by-side interventions to individuals, focusing on problem-solving, skills training, and behavior modeling.
  • Assist the team in providing ongoing assessment of symptoms and responses to interventions.
  • Participate in the development of treatment plans, ensuring that the individual is at the center of the process and that interventions are clinically based.
  • Support individuals in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation, helping them develop their goals.
  • Provide specific interventions and supports to specialty populations within our Integrated Group Living Environment (IGLE).
  • Ensure the safety of the specialty population and the community by adhering to monitoring plans.
  • Administer and monitor medications in accordance with agency, DMH, and DPH regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Reliable vehicle.
  • Ideal 2-3 years of prior experience working with adults having severe and persistent mental illness.
