As a Litigation Associate Attorney at Eagle Title, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality legal advice across various matters, while also engaging in legal research, document preparation, and case management.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong ambition to develop a client base and demonstrate a willingness to learn and evolve professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, and mediation processes.
- Draft, review, and present legal documents, prioritizing the interests of our clients.
- Collaborate with colleagues from different legal disciplines to provide holistic legal solutions.
- Engage with clients to comprehend their business objectives and customize legal strategies accordingly.
- Conduct thorough legal research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
- Analyze and summarize legal data to support the development of robust case strategies.
- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Organize exhibits, affidavits, and supporting documents for court submissions.
- Manage case files and ensure compliance with all deadlines.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
- Prepare and file court documents in accordance with procedural standards.
- Monitor court schedules and deadlines to keep the team informed.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as directed.
- Assist in drafting correspondence related to litigation matters.
- Support attorneys during trial preparation and court appearances.
- Help prepare deposition summaries and trial exhibits.
- Utilize analytical skills to identify and resolve issues, offering proactive solutions to enhance the final work product.
- Draft engagement letters and assist with client billing and expense recovery.
- Complete special projects and other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership and good standing with the MD State Bar.
- Minimum of 1+ years of litigation experience, including trial exposure.
- Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
- Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with NLRB rules and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding client service.
- Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
