Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

St. Croix Health is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Med/Surg department.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide basic care tasks for patients, including grooming, dressing, bathing, eating, and exercising. They will also assist the nursing staff with medical tasks, such as taking blood, monitoring vitals, and reporting patient behavior and wellbeing.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist patients with daily living activities, such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, and using the toilet.
  2. Deliver efficient and excellent care to all patients on the unit, including performing ADLs, transferring, ambulation, dressing, toileting, turning, and repositioning.
  3. Keep patient rooms and care supplies clean, including changing soiled linen, emptying commodes or bedpans.
  4. Work directly with the care team to deliver quality patient care, including communicating openly with team members, reporting pertinent observations or patient requests to the RN, and maintaining unit order, cleanliness, and safety.
  5. Document or report observations of patient behavior, complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses or in the EMR.
Requirements:
  • Current WI Nurse Aide Registry required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Prior CNA experience preferred.
